High school seems life another world and another life.... married right out of school and spent most of the rest of my life pursuing higher education; had two children, Mark, 41, an Air Force Lt Col (SP Ops) and Atty now serving TDY in Afghanistan, father of Helena; and Jessica, 32, a social worker and mom of Nathan and Evan. My first husband and I lived all over, came back to Il, then moved to FL and divorced while I was working on my PhD. Remarried Pat; no shared children; he has four: Joe, 48, is an F-16 Pilot and married father of two; Terry, 47,divorced mom of four; Colleen, married mother of four, and Kevin, 33, unmarried personal trainer. I was an insurance broker before becoming a marriage and family therapist, but ended up specializing in trauma and PTSD; retired now and living part-time in Binghamton, NY (Pat's hometown) ; FL in the Winter, where most of my family and friends are.)
